Most of the Issues Below i have already addressed

in several Entries in Both Blog sites

so here i will revise, modify or add anything recent

  *

                       K1: * malassezia worms *

 Malassezia ... worm

Poor Worm was offended about Malassezia association 🙂

                     Malassezia is Not a Worm…

                          It is Fungus and Yeast.

I can see though how one can confuse

the slithering sensation in the Private areas as Worms.

I too checked, researched -and even treated-

                            that possibility initially.

                                             ~

                     K2: * malassezia feet *

  Malassezia Healed Toe MD

This area is currently problem Free

                     -but not Yeast traffic Free-

with Full length healthy Toe Nails

             having survived several brutal attacks

for over more than a decade

and frequently repeated recent attempts *

                              Failed attempts

due to a diligent Daily Routine Maintenance.

                                         .

      * Weak broken whitish lines across the top part of the Nail

just below the edge, indicate some minor damage

                    inflicted during those failed attacks.

                                                             ~

In the Morning a thorough Rub with Sea water

and at Bed time a wrap with Acidophilus Mix.

During the Day whenever i am sitting

i endeavour to have them parallel to the ground

by raising the foot rest of my Recliner chair

to avoid any swelling and inflammation

                          that can attract Malassezia.

                    Details of Routine daily Maintenance

and Dealing with Past attack situations

can be found in several Earlier Entries.

                                                 ~

    M Baby MD

There is nothing more heart breaking

than having a poor little Baby

                         suffering a Yeast  infection.

Yet, Nature has its own plans and purposes.

All Babies arrive from within a Uterus

either via a Vagina or by Caesarian Section

Rich in Pregnancy Hormones, Blood, Nutrients, etc

and many as a result are born

with what is commonly known as cradle cap

but it is Not only on the head that is affected

in some cases it is also the face, mouth, torso etc.

A quick Search in Google Images

                            illustrates the situation

    Baby Cradle Cap MD

Fortunately most goes away as Baby’s

                  immune system starts to develop.

                                              ~

I was lucky not to be challenged by such a problem

with either of my two girls

but IF i were faced with the problem nowadays

and with all the knowledge i have gathered

i would have written a list of Do’s and Don’t’s.

                                        Such as

                          Baby Yeast Infection Avoid.MD

                 Despite heavy advertisement brain wash

                                I would Not use

                * Any Baby Creams, Lotions, OILS

                * Any Perfumed or Oil containing Talcum Powder

                * Any ‘Off the Shelf’ Medicated Yeast Infection Treatment

                * Any Synthetic Clothing on affected area/s

                                                                   .

Baby Yeast Infection To Do.MD

               * Keep vulnerable skin areas always  Clean and Dry

               * Wash area/s – Only with Warm Water and gentle cloth

               * Dry well

               * Apply Acidophilus Mix Twice Daily ( adjust if necessary)

(1 Capsule in 4-5 Tbs warm water)

 Acidophilus Baby

        Acidophilus Baby 1

Not a Brand recommendation – just an idea what is available

(Keeping in mind there are always other ingredients contained but not listed)

                           Other Probiotic Ingredients: *

Inulin – Polydextrose, maltodextrin, sugar, phytates,

preservatives, artificial flavours or colours, wheat, gluten.

Hi!
If it makes you feel any better, I have the exact same problem you do,
AND my father is a dermatologist.
So, just imagine the frustration when your own father tells you it’s stress…
and then he has the nerve to slip in a few weeks later
that he had a woman come in with delusional parisitosis.
It has practically ruined our relationship.  Mine started after years of antibiotics … …
………………….

….. few things I know to be true about this, and a couple of assumptions.

=  If I eat any sort of pastry or have anything yeasty, I will have an unbearable flare.
Donuts, cookies, cake, bread, and beer are all a guarantee
of a flare within a couple of hours to a couple of days. .*1

=  The fresher/yeastier, the sooner I react.  I cannot eat anything from a bakery.
Sometimes I’ll get away with stale bread.**1

=  The Specific Carbohydrate diet is helpful.

=  Diflucan will stop it.  I’ve been prescribed a two month course
on three separate occasions, in which you’re on a pretty restricted carb diet,
and you have to get your liver enzymes checked.
I’ve had complete relief during the course, but after a couple of months,
it starts again, and it’s too dangerous to take long term.*2

=  Right now, I’m going with the leaky gut theory.
I’m trying to heal with L-glutamine, zinc, probiotics,
candibactin, inositol, nystatin, and fish oils.*3
I was doing okay until recently, after a course of antibiotics ….
I went right back to where I started.**3

=  There is lots of info on Seborrheic Dermatitis
—which is obviously just one part of the manifestation of this
—but I’ve found that if I approach it from that angle,
I’ll be more likely to get someone to listen to me.

=  This is one that I have seen a pattern, and I’m 90% it helps significantly,
but I have to test it completely on its own.
I take Sam-E  (S-Adenosyl methionine), and it takes the inflammation down very quickly.
The problem I have with it is that if I take too much, I get really edgy. *4
So, trying to balance that vs. controlling this is a fine line.  When I get it right, it’s fabulous.

= It’s SO INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING!!!! .*5

                             *

      (Brief Comments)

* 1  Many other Readers over time have mentioned
that after having to give up  these groups of foods,
       experienced some improvements.

**1  Perhaps an indication???

     a) that even the Bread yeast creates problems
     b) Baking does not necessarily kill it all.
     c) Yeast loves gluten!!! – Gluten Rich flours create better rising breads…

.*2  Other Readers have Confirmed the same regarding Reappearance
of the Yeast after stopping treatment

.*3  Some of the Ingredients mentioned i have tried without any beneficial result
some i believed promoted proliferation -in my case- and some
i would not elect due to certain disagreeable -to me- indications
but each Person and Body is Different in Condition and Processing of Elements,
      so my standpoint always is:

If it helps ~ without eventual or long term harm ~ go for it!

**3  Yes, antibiotics seem to have a quick effect of unravelling
      any meticulous progress and mending…
Many Readers have reported similar experiences.

.*4  This i had tried before i knew about Malassezia or its effect upon it
but i only managed to go through less than half of the container
because it drove me crazy!… Malassezia can do that on its own, lol!
Certainly not suitable for either irritable or depression prone individuals
     – but again… what may be bad for one, might be good for another?…

*5  I am sure i would not be the only one to totally Agree with this statement!

I found your email very Interesting and had to break my resolve
-of not entering into any further personal communications-
in order to Thank You for taking the Time to Relate your Story.

I understand how Frustrated you may feel with your …’Dermatologist!’
Don’t get me started about mine! Lol!

Perhaps you have a unique Better Chance than most of us,
instead of allowing this situation to ruin your Father-Daughter relationship
to use your influence instead, no matter how negligible
you might consider it in your frustration, to ‘Convert’ him to the Camp,
help him Open up to Reality and the indisputable Facts
that it is not all just nerves or delusions –except perhaps for only a few–
and See how Better he Could Help so Many Suffering People.

I can imagine though this might be harder than actually ‘Curing’ Malassezia, Lol!
Yet i believe some seeds may have already found their way in his heart
and eventually his mind … you never know!… Life uses or creates Circumstances
to Guide us all to the water of Knowledge whether we choose to drink
or resist and stay inert until the inevitable strikes hard…

I see from the way you have been documenting your findings
* An Intelligent approach (most people lodge into anything –myself too initially)
* Research ( eventually we all resort to that one way or another)
* Methodical experimentation and watchfulness (again not all people do so)
* Close watch on your Body
* And an Openness to Solutions (my intuitive judgement from all you are relating)

These alone make me believe they may be the ‘Knock’ on your Father’s Door
and may have already be having some influence on him,
even if not quite detectable on his ways yet as perhaps
some of the Problems he is facing might be that,
as a Professional he feels reluctant to differ from the Traditional medical approach,
                                 … …. ….

( Here i just broke my resolve not to get entangled in the ‘Dermatologist’s’ issue
feeling myself very frustrated and biased by my and including my husband’s experiences,
but to my surprise i have approached it more from the Father–Daughter angle
and feel more kindly and sympathetic to both your sides
as i too have two daughters of my own and i know that even where there are
disagreements there are always some influences and considerations on both sides)

( Reader )

                            … … …

I will take your suggestion and work on my dad a bit.
                           … … …

It’s easier for him to just go with the American Academy of Dermatology recommendations
                            … …
Yes, Understandably…

What a lovely email to receive.

I’m very happy to have facilitated some peace in your life.

If it helps, I have a little insight as to why these doctors behave in such a way.

My father, and many, many doctors I have encountered, have very little empathy.

It’s counterintuitive to me, because one would think that a doctor’s goal

is to help someone feel better.

It took a lot of observation and investigating and massive disappointment for me

to figure out that this is rarely the case.

Doctors tend more to be of the engineer type mindset, where they’re really out simply to use

deductive reasoning to solve a problem.  Considering the mastery of math and science involved

in the study of medicine, it’s really not that surprising.

The problem arises when it’s something that doesn’t fit neatly into one of their categories.

And, he admits that some patients do fall through the cracks due to the

‘don’t look for zebras when there’s a horse right in front of you’ credo

Malassezia and Doctors MD

The simplest explanation is the right one, in their minds.

Do we have some weird infestation, allergic reaction, something or are we delusional?

It’s easier to deem us delusional and move on, probably because

the anxiety we present with puts us in a neat little box of DP.

Then, they feel satisfied that the solved the problem, and their egos remain intact.

    Malassezia- the end Result MD

Another theory I have is that if they ever did have the capacity for empathy,
it may have waned over the years due to a self-protective mechanism to insulate them
from their patients’ problems.  I know my dad has had to construct a wall around himself
when it came to patients he deemed needy, to prevent himself from getting sucked in.
He cares about his patients, but he won’t take on any of their pain.
It’s infuriating to say the least, in cases like ours. I truly feel like they misrepresent themselves
—but perhaps we overestimated the practice of medicine.

(I totally agree with the Reader’s assessments, many of which
i had arrived at myself and now with additional ones
to complete an accurate picture – as i see it.)

The only luck I’ve had with any doctors are holistic practitioners

—integrative medical doctors, acupuncturists, chiropractors—
they have never made me feel crazy, even if they didn’t know what it was.
But, generally they have gotten it right away.
What I now understand to be true about general medicine,  is that medical doctors
are taught to make a diagnosis based on specific symptoms, and prescribe medication.
They’re generally not creative thinkers, and they’re very impatient.
So, something like malassezia is unfathomable to them.

                                                         *

I feel vindicated since figuring it out with the help of wonderful doctors and my own research,
and I’m proud of the knowledge I’ve accumulated along the way.
And, I hope that you feel proud of yourself and your service to others.
You’ve done an amazing job figuring this all out and meticulously documenting everything.
I hope that despite these horrible experiences with doctors
that you can recognize it as their weakness, rigidity and stupidity,
and just continue your work preventing others from having to go down that path.
And, then I hope you can gather up all of this frustration,
let it flow and let it go (that’s my motto with my kids).
It took me a long time—( …) years now, and I’m not totally there yet, but I’m close.
                                                      ………..
Wishing you a happy, healthy day!! 🙂

                                       ~

Hi Sonata.   I wanted to post some of my treatment trials and offer support on your blog.

I’m not sure if you take posted comments or not

I just wanted to pass along that My VITAMIN C* and sea* salt treatment is helping so much.

The 3 stubborn sores left over from about a thousand Are finally healing.

And My finger nails are turning back to WHITE WHITE.  Whiter than I ever seen them.

Skin texture in much better.  Oh I got the neutragena* face wash you recommended.  I love it.

Sending Happy Healthy Wishes Your Way!!!!!!

Thank you so much!

                           *

I am so very pleased to hear!

                                       ~

*1) From communications with the Lucky Reader living by the Sea

i believe by ‘Sea Salt’ is meant ‘Sea Water’.

I doubt if (Sea) Salt itself, isolated from the other

Sea minerals contained  in the Sea Water,

                    could produce the white nails.

                                       ~

I have been experiencing the same result myself

due to Regular Seawater use for its

Malassezia Preventative and Fast Healing Properties

And the Additional Benefits to Nails, Hair and Bones.

                                      ~

*2) Vitamin C, especially combined with Vitamin E

           taken Internally helps heal wounds.

                                      ~

*3) Neutrogena i rarely use nowadays, as a Malassezia treatment

   a)  due to its Salicylic acid which is a Blood Thinner

and can cause Bruises and /or Bleeding

where there are tendencies or other medications involved

especially if used extensively or left on for a long time

(though should be ok for a quick facial wash

but not as an effective Malassezia treatment.)

                                                        ~

Where i found Neutrogena most useful a long time back

was its ability to Remove Dead, Sticky, Lizard Skin

-caused by Malassezia allowed to settle and dry-

but this method required leaving it on the skin

much longer than the recommended instructions

                             for a quick facial wash

and where the Blood Thinning property of SA

had to be taken into consideration.

                                                        ~

      b) because i have not fully established beyond any doubt

if any of its other Ingredients attract Malassezia Back

                                                  ~

      c) because Washing and Scrabbing Thoroughly any area

-where burning, itching, crawling, irritation or activity is felt-

                        Immediately with Warm Water

using a rough Face Cloth or Cotton wad

Removes the Yeast Before settling and drying on the skin

                     (becoming much harder to remove)

thus Not  Requiring the Neutrogena use

                                              and

                       d)  because using a combination of

                          Seawater and Acidophilus Mix

Offering Many Additional Skin Benefits Each,

i rarely find any use for Neutrogena anymore.

I know though from Feedback that numerous Rearers

both Male or Female seem to love it.

                                                ~

Personal Experience and Time can be good Indicators.

-) The Longer to Act – the more Entrenched it becomes

-)  It can end up Chronic and get Worse without Maintenance

Latest Solutions Implemented for Clearing Blepharitis

During the latest Occurrence, having underestimated the Need to act

immediately and decisively, i tried applying several solutions haphazardly

which naturally did not produce a satisfactory lasting result

so eventually i had to implement a Coordinated – Concentrated Plan

which, Out of Necessity, Included Brief use of Chemical Solutions

                                           ~

     1) Only IF/when Absolutely Necessary

                                 Pyrenel Foam

P- MDjpg

                       Available at Chemists (Australia)

                         (Google for List of Ingredients)

It is a Head Lice treatment i have used for the Scalp before

from where the Yeast usually Relocates to the Eyes for Moisture

which contains OILS  -Bad and Counter productive for fighting Yeast

but it is the only one which seems to affect Clones (and Lice eggs)

due to containing Butoxide – and allows a couple of days of peace

before the cycle starts to build again, giving the opportunity

for intensive Eye Treatment without too much interruption from the scalp.

                                                ~

                             No good using frequently

for several reasons i have already outlined

in several of my Entries in regards to

a) Chemicals and Oils, and

b) Relocation from Scalp to Eye Problem itself.

                                                 ~

          2)  This I have been using Regularly

                      -Still on a Trial basis-

It seems to help the Eye Problem – temporarily

                            Contains 2% Zinc Pyrithione

      C- MD

Available at Coles and Woolworths (Australia)

I use it ONLY Under  the Lash Beds

because it stings massively if it goes into the eye.

It seems to kill or sent away any Yeast lurking

On or Under the Skin in that area and prevents it from moving in

and settling into the Eyelash beds when it has matured.

                                               ~

If present in the area when shampoo is applied

initially there is no Response but soon as it starts to Die

it stings and itches rather strongly for just a few intense minutes

                                      then all quiet.

When area is Free of Presence there is No response.

This is a good indication of Presence or Absence near the Eyes

                                       but of course

there IS already presence in Eyes, Eyelashes, Eyelash beds

where it cannot be applied either for testing or treatment.

                                           ~

(I use it on the Scalp but it is only effective for what is Live

and on the Surface or Hair, often causing immediate mobilisation

out of the area and totally useless for spores or anything residing

deep in the hair follicles – so i am looking for replacement…)

                                             ~

3)  The Most Effective of All – also Temporarily

                      Prescription Free Topical Antibiotic

M-BLN - MD

                      (Google for List of Ingredients)

                           Available at Chemists’

I get from ‘Pharmacy Online’ (Australia)

               What it is

Initially thought as a Puny little expensive Bottle – but it goes a long way!

Especially if used the way i found more productive for the purpose

                                   How I Used it

I tried the instructions for a few days but had no effect whatsoever

so i stopped. Then i realised i had not given the entire treatment

enough time to bring results and created my own Targeted Plan.

Instead of putting a few drops inside the eye – which also sting briefly,

I directed the Nozzle Only Along the Lash bed and squeezed

very gently to release just the necessary amount

                         – and only in that area

This at bed times just before turning the light off. Keeps it working all night.

Deters Infestation on the Lash beds and Clears the already present mess!

~

Three to Four Nights application eased the swelling and weeping

and deterred more from trying to settle in the area

                                           ~

It is the most effective for a bad Chronic – Entrenched case

and mine left untreated was progressively getting there.

As soon as inflammation and swelling subsided – within a week,

i Stopped and Reverted to Frequent

– Warm  Water Wash  ( the 3 www,s lol!)

– Seawater (Natural Deterrent)

– Acidophilus Mix

    ~

Acidophilus Mix is Best Applied After the Inside the Eye Liquid

and Clouding of the Eyes has been Noticeably Reduced

and activity throughout the day has Subsided considerably.

Iy is Better Applied as part of a Routine Preventative Maintenance

rather that during Treatment  because it upsets the Yeast

which creates a rather messy condition

before Acidophilus takes over delivering the Positive Results

                                        *

Preventative Treatments I Use Regularly

1) Clean Eyelids with a Facecloth or Cotton wad and Warm/Hot Water

several times daily – Especially Morning, Bath Time and at Bedtime

2)  Alternately, during Shower time, standing Facing the Shower Head

allowing plenty of comfortably Hot water run to the closed eyes

and wiping frequently with a Facecloth.

3) Dry with Face Cloth/Hand towel

(specifically allocated for drying the eyes after each wash)

4) Tissue or Toilet paper on my desk or wherever i am stationed

helps dry itchy liquid and gritty granules off the edges of the Eyes,

keep Eyelash beds Dry and interrupt Malassezia Settling

5) Apply Seawater (Not Salt water!)on Eyelids, around Eye

and Lash Beds Morning and Bedtime and /or

whenever i feel Malassezia movement or attempt to settle in

                                          ~

 The Multi Benefits of Seawater:

Cost Free and Abundantly available all year round

( For those Lucky to live by the Sea)

Lasts almost indefinitely In or Out of the Fridge

Not many ‘No Sea’ Creatures can Survive it

Deters new Infestations

Helps Heal wounds Faster

Contains Bio-available Minerals that feed Eyelashes

making them grow Long, Luxurious in their Rich Natural Colour!

Can easily be rubbed directly on the Eyelash beds for Best results

Negligible brief discomfort – – – against

Tremendous Benefits  within a short time.

                                             ~

*  Benefits Alternating Face Cloth with Cotton Wad /Ripple

                                       Face Cloth

– Tougher for Better Cleaning and Dislodging

Granules, Spores, Crusty or Oily Liquid, embedded Eyelid Shards

– Stays Hot longer can be Squeezed better

– Economic – can be made from old towels

– Reusable

                                 Cotton Ripple/Wad

–Speed e.g. if Work/ School mornings etc

– Hygiene and Convenience, i.e. Disposable – No need for wash,

– Reducing chances of Recontamination

Tissue or Toilet paper

I have learned to recognise sensations of when the devil is trying to lodge

into the lash beds such as Spider thread like movements or prickly and itchy

so i drop everything and go and wash immediately as above

During the rest of time when i feel them watery, leaky, or just itchy

i use toilet tissue* to wipe the lash beds and both edges of the eyes.

It is absorbent, disposable, goes a long way and the devil hates dry!

It Relieves the eye and potentially stops more irritation and additional growth.

I have a roll wherever i am sitting and do so as frequently as necessary.

       ~

* I buy specifically embossed type of tissue with Dolphin or Flower patterns

and Flatten the Rolls down, so they don’t look as much like ‘toilet’ rolls, lol!

and can go a long way with minimal cost compared to handkerchief tissues

but a Bulk Box of them can also do the job well.

Checking on New Readers Keywords today

                             i discovered this one below.

K * toilet tissue can cause blepharitis *

Reading the entire page above i am scratching my head

as to how or where could one have read

that Toilet Tissue can ‘cause’ pblepharitis’

when i am clearly stating the Opposite and have detailed

                                   its Use and Purpose

in the Preventative Treatments and Benefits?
